Evening Light on South Sister
The true summit of South Sister lies on the northeast rim of the crater, so we had to ski completely across the crater from the south rim. This view looks down over the southeast part of the rim at Mount Bachelor (9065 ft / 2763 m) and Tumalo Mountain (7775 ft / 2370 m), the smaller volcanic cone at far left.
