The river valley soon leads to the broad Glacier Basin, a treeless bowl below the toe of the Inter Glacier. Our ski route above this followed the glacier aiming towards the summit visible at upper left. Crevasse hazard on the Inter Glacier was minimal, with deep snowpack and only a few open cracks.
