We drove north as the sun set after our fine ski day on Mount McLoughlin, heading for the south entrance to Crater Lake National Park. From just west of Fort Klamath, we saw this fine view of the ring of peaks surrounding Crater Lake. This photo was taken from an elevation of 4200 ft. Surprisingly, we are standing at the same level as the bottom of the 1932 ft deep lake enclosed within those 8000+ ft peaks.
